What I found out was that nearly any site that did list Fathers and family support or child support was trying to get women to prosecute their ex-husbands. The words -help for fathers- were not listed anywhere. So I entered the words www.helpforfathers.com it didn't exist. I was appalled as I entered the words www.helpformothers.com and sure enough there was a website.
Needless to say this was pretty devastating to me. It is not that I had anything against help for mothers it was just that I found out that nobody cared about fathers it seemed and particularly the ones who were in arrears on their child support. Were seen as really evil. I mean there was not even one website or document listed that had the sequence of words -help for fathers- in that order. In fact I had searched several search engines for those words and the words dead beat dads and I found out that any sites there were listed were usually anti-father sites. And any lawyers I could find that listed anything about fathers or dead beat dads were all interested in collections and not at all interested in helping the fathers who were being victimized by several new laws that were passed since the mid 90's.
One of the new laws that was enacted allowed the district attorney to suspend or revoke the transportation rights of an individual who was more than $2000 in arrears. Yes I said transportation rights! Since time immemorial it has been a capital crime to take away a persons means of transportation, it was usually some sort of an animal like a horse or camel. Then all of the sudden in the mid 90's somehow legislation got passed that allowed the government to call your transportation rights a privilege and take them away for nearly any reason or whim that they desired to. If your car is parked illegally and you got a $25 parking ticket and didn't have the funds to pay it that was sufficient grounds to confiscate your car and your drivers license if you get caught driving.. That is how far it has gone. The legislators of this country have seemingly decided that it is constitutional for them to offer this cruel and unusual punishment for a simple parking ticket that could have been averted by a dime in a parking meter.
Can you believe they think it is acceptable punishment to take away your livelyhood in the form of your transportation over a dime in lost municipal funds?
Anotherunusual law that seems to have been passed is that it is now if you try to file for bankruptcy because the arrears have gotten out of control they have decided you cannot file bankruptcy against child support. child support debt. So then you are stuck with no car; no job; no home and you are threatened with jail; your passport is revoked; your income tax return is intercepted so there is no way to get any sort of nest egg built up to start a business and you eventually wind up homeless and in jail. This is tantamount to legalized debtors prison.
I was born in America the land of the free and there was no such thing as a debtors prison in America. It was considered unamerican to take someones drivers license or put them in jail for being poor. You know in America everyone had a right to transportation and equal employment opportunity regardless of your race, creed, color, religion or nation of origin. Taxes were voluntary and any income tax had to be ratified and passed by a majority vote each time one was to be taxed. But now it is illegal to be poor. The homeless are harassed regularly. Income tax is no longer regarded as voluntary and you practically cannot go to Mexico or Canada without a passport. So if you are over $2000 in arrears, soon you may not even be able to travel to Alaska, Hawaii or any other US territories to work.
When I was a child I remember watching movies about facist and communist countries and I was always told that one of the things that made our government better than theirs was the freedom. I would watch nazi soldiers at checkpoints saying "Where are your papers?" and generally being interrogative. But now it is legal to have so called sobriety checkpoints and accost American citizens
I am amazed on a daily basis at the blatant disregard for the constitution of these United States. Well it is a few years later and I have been reduced to either working at minimum wage jobs that I can get to on time that are located near a bus line or illegally driving to construction sites to work and being constantly at risk of losing my car and personal freedom for just trying to work and survive in America.
This should bring everyone up to date about
some aspects of the reasons for this site. I finally purchased the domain name
since no one else seemed to care about it and have gathered several links to
pages with helpful information over the last few years. It took a lot of
digging but I have found them including some business opportunities it will
just take a while to get them all linked and sorted and check for broken links
and such.The links will include other sites that are starting to concern
themselves with helping fathers. Hopefully some lawyers and self help gurus,
free software sites and of course links to stuff that will hopefully make me
money as well as business opportunities and places that can help fathers find
jobs in high paying industries.It is a big wishlist but I am working on it.
Hopefully the links will be beneficial to anyone who visits this site.
Well I suppose I
will get the links up eventually. Sorry it has taken so long.
It seems like there is never enougn time to work on this site. but that will
